ELIZABETH VIDON, PH.D.

Founder and Principal Coach of RealEyes Coaching, LLC
As a coach, I thrive on helping people grow, actualize their vision of success, and enjoy balance in their lives. I am grounded in outstanding coach training and in my academic career where my research, germanely, was derived from talking with people about their experiences. Layered onto that are my own life experiences that have made me an excellent listener and empathetic partner. I am valued by clients and colleagues for an exceptional appreciation for other people’s perspectives that enables me to hear and feel how they are moving through their own situations without judging them.

I am the Founder & Principal Coach of RealEyes Coaching, LLC, an executive, career, and life coaching firm. I serve clients in addressing both current issues and long-term goals. Through RealEyes Coaching, I offer executive coaching, career coaching, career strategy planning, marketing material services, networking skills, interviewing skills, and negotiating skills. I also offer life coaching for individual private clients who would like to find greater clarity and success regarding a goal or an issue.

MORE ABOUT

my experiences

Previously, I was a research professor in Environmental Studies at SUNY-ESF in Syracuse, NY. Trained as a cultural Geographer, my academic training in authenticity and cultural and environmental perception in nature-based tourism has provided me a natural foundation for coaching. During my academic career, I was recognized for excellence in leading research teams, advising students, teaching courses, and publishing academic papers. I also Co-Chaired the Recreation, Tourism & Sport Specialty Group for the American Association of Geographers and served on editorial boards for academic journals.

Earlier, I had an eclectic career that included teaching high school Spanish at an International Baccalaureate school, being an event planner, and working on the ski slopes in Aspen. I have traveled and studied extensively outside the U.S., developing a keen appreciation for other backgrounds, cultures, and ways of being in the world.

I am a member of the International Coaching Fedration (ICF) and received comprehensive ICF Coach Training through the nationally recognized Coach Academy International program for professional coaches. I am also Certified as a Career Management Coach through Coach Academy International. I hold a Ph.D. in Geography & Landscape Studies from Indiana University, an MA in Geography from York University in Toronto, ON, and a B.A. in Spanish & Geography from Appalachian State University in North Carolina.
